Cancer, known by many is a very serious disease and can grow out of control if not identified early and treated. There is no exact cause of cancer and it is very difficult to treat. E.g., breast cancer surgery that includes axillary (under the arm) lymph node dissection may compromise lymphatic drainage resulting in chronic swelling of the arm and hand. Therapy helps to reduce swelling and minimize the accompanying problems and discomfort.

Symptoms of Cancer

Preventing  Cancer

Some preventative measures include:

  • Avoid smoking.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Be happy.
  • Have a nutritious diet.
  • Maintain a healthy weight.
  • Avoid processed meats.
  • Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
  • Avoid radiation.
